Temporary Traffic Changes on Watsonova Street

From 26 January, temporary changes to traffic organization will take effect on Watsonova Street, in the section between the Business Academy and the Amphitheatre. The changes are related to the phased upgrade of transport infrastructure in the area and will be implemented in stages through to 2027.

In the affected section, one traffic lane will be temporarily closed. Traffic will operate under an adjusted regime to maintain the highest possible road capacity. Public transport services will continue to operate without restrictions throughout the works.

These traffic adjustments form part of the WatsoNova project, within which we, as the investor – CTR, are developing the area between the Amphitheatre and the Business Academy.

In cooperation with the City of Košice, we have committed to investing approximately EUR 2.5 million in the construction and modernization of transport infrastructure in this location. The aim of these measures is to improve traffic safety and flow and to create better conditions for motorists, public transport, pedestrians and cyclists.

The works will be carried out gradually to minimize the impact on daily traffic and to ensure that the final solution delivers long-term benefits for the entire area.
